On this page, I will post pictures and emails or comments from some of our new families and their new babies!!!

Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!!

Good morning, Marilyn....it's Billy, Bryan and "angel boy" henry from Chicago!!

We sure hope this message finds you both doing well and enjoying the summer.

We think about you often, so just wanted to drop a quick line to let you know that we all are doing so very well!!

We just cannot tell you enough how much we've enjoyed pampering the little boy you brought into our lives back in December.  We say quite often....he truly is our little angel.

Actually, we just moved to a new home a little over a month ago.....went from the small one bedroom condo to a new 1,500 square foot townhome, with a big yard.  So, needless to say, henry is loving it!!  He's now got so many choices of where to sleep and poop, he doesn't know what to do!!  (Now, if we can just convince him that Rabbit poop is not a treat, we'll be just great!!).

My sister, Jane, often refers to him as "magic," and I must agree.  He is so much like a little person, it's really unbelievable.  And, everywhere he goes (groomer, daycare, for a bath, our favorite pet store, or just for a walk through the neighborhood), everyone who meets him just can't stop saying the same thing.

I know you must get a million e-mails a day just like this, so I'll let you move on to the next one, but we just wanted to say hello and make sure you always know that we could thank you twice a day for the rest of our lives and it wouldn't be enough.  The little boy you allowed us to adopt from you has truly made us so very happy.

Our warmest regards, always....

Bryan, Bill, and henry

Hi Marilyn,

Last weekend we took Schultz on his first beach walk.  Olympia has lots of lovely beaches around.  He didn’t dive into the water but liked exploring and sniffing around.  He’s playful and fun but amazingly calm most of the time for a puppy.  He’s all house trained now and is great with the kids.  He’s a voracious eater and dances and flips around when it’s meal time.  He sleeps all night and loves to snuggle.  He likes to play catch and actually drops the ball for you to throw.  And he loves to walk around the block.  We usually attract a group of neighbor kids that join us on the way around our loop.  It’s become a nightly ritual after dinner.  Here’s a photo of him at the beach.  We hope you are well.  Thanks again for our terrific pup!

Christine

Hi, Marilyn -

Just wanted to drop you a note about Jedi.  He's doing great!  He and
Lila are inseparable.  I took him to the vet for a check up "just the
two of us" and he was clearly concerned that Lila wasn't there.  On the
other hand, their groomer also has a day care & boarding program.  I
always let them stay for 1/2 day play day when they go for a groom.
Jedi's perfectly thrilled to play with every dog he can.  They even put
both of them in their cover picture for the Springfield Pet Guide.

One of the vet tech's at his vet is not a major miniature schnauzer
fan.  She has other breed preferences.  But Jedi has completely won her
over.  Whenever he comes in, she has to come up & love on him.  I'm up
there every so often for my 14-year-old cats so the dogs tag along.
They're the unofficial greeters anyway :-)

I've attached a picture the groomer took of them both last fall.  I'm
sure you can see your baby in the not-so-gangly adult he's become.  He's
bigger than Lila, but it's a good thing.  She's awfully quick & they
play non-stop.

Thanks again for such an excellent match.

Hello Marilyn,

Well, it's been two months since we brought "Courtney's King Louie" home with us. Just as you promised, he has adapted to both city apartment living and country freedom.  Our decision to get a "teenager" of five months was the best we could have made. Because you set him on the right path with love and obedience, Louie is so eager to please us in everything we are teaching him. Jim and I comment every day  how Louie exactly fits us and how fortunate we are to have him in our lives.  He is as happy as a dog could be.  He adores his big brothers and for me, it's wonderful to see my men learning to be leaders of our pack.

I've been working very hard in the training department just as you and Cesar would like and the results are incredible.  The PurinaChow website is a great help both for info and training videos too. Louie learns very quickly and the only thing that I know I still have to do for him  is to socialize him more with an outside program.  Jim and I are so glad we waited until retirement to add a puppy to the family  because we're able to spend the quality teaching time Louie requires.

I'm also glad that I did my research and found the very best breeder.  Jim and I know that you would be so proud of  Louie. To us, he
represents the very best of Dragonward Kennels. You certainly have my permission to add my email to your list of very satisfied customers.

Sincerely,
Nancy and Jim Courtney

Dear Tim and Marilyn:

Jerry and I cannot begin to tell you how much we appreciate what you do!  Jase is such a wonderful addition to our family.  He is such a wonderful little boy!  He has learned ‘sit’ and ‘down’ all in the last two days.

Although he likes to wake me up around 6:30 AM each morning, he is adjusting to his ‘routine’ very well.  He is one smart little bugger!  He even likes to eat some dry puppy food before getting his breakfast of moistened puppy chow.  He is very happy to be here with us and is learning his surroundings quite well.

Potty training is going along smoothly with only a few ‘road bumps’.  That is to be expected.  He is such a wonderful dog, a pure testament to the great dogs you have bred over the years.

As soon as we get another card reader for our digital camera, I will send you some updated photos of the little bugger soon.

He has finally decided that it is a game to run as fast as he can out into the kitchen and then, when he gets into something that scares him, he comes running lickety split back into the living room.   Not much else seems to bother him.  He is so well adjusted for being only 9 weeks old.

Again, we can’t thank you enough for the work that you two do to help the miniature schnauzer breed become the best there is, hands down.  I, for one, love them so much, that I cannot imagine having another type of dog.  They’re just the best!

Marilyn, I hope you get a rest before the next batch comes along, although just seeing those little faces would be enough of a boost for me, knowing the great dogs they will become and the happy people you will make with them as their ‘babies’.  I am so grateful to have found your website and to have made your acquaintance.  Tim, the next time we come to get another one, I hope it is over the weekend so that we can meet you too.  No ice either!  lol

Thanks for your time, patience, caring and love for the greatest breed there is!

Sincerely,

Jerry Griffie

Meri Jo Hall

Eric Griffie

Hillary Griffie

Sarah Griffie

And of course, Jase!

Life is God`s gift to you.

The way you live your life is your gift to God.

Make it a fantastic one.

Marilyn,
Just thought I would give you and update on Milo.  He is soooo sweet.  He has been so good.  He slept in his crate right beside Madie's. We covered them separate and not together as they really don't know each other but they could sense the other....he slept until 7:30 this morning and no accidents in his crate.  Took him outside and he pee'd and then he ate and went out and did #2.  He has went back outside and done his buisness again.  He is really good.  He LOVES Madie's bed that we have upstairs in our room.  Here is a picture of him I just took while I was writing this. ha ha.  Madie is loving him and playing much more today.  They are to funny.  I can't get them to sit still long enough to get a picture of both of them but I will soon. lol lol

I will for sure keep you updated on any changes and send you pictures of him growing so you can see that as well.

Hugs and love,
Dawn~

Hi Marilyn,

Brenda and I just wanted to Thank You again for our precious little bundle of joy. This is just what the doctor ordered for Brenda to feel her self worth again. It's so nice to hear my wife laugh again and it's all because of our new addition to the family. It's been a long hard road for her since that terrible accident in May of 2007. Having to be in a hospital for four months was bad enough but having to tell her Pookie had passed was a heart breaker. She had raised him from 5 weeks old until his passing of 15 years. She's been struggling with the loss ever since until now, thanks to you! Our new little puppy named Zeke has
really been a blessing and we just can't wait each day to see what he's going to do to make us laugh. I'm just amazed at how smart he is and he's only 10 weeks old. Brenda has been working with him every day and she has him sitting, lying down and rolling over for a treat. Not to shabby for a youngster. My biggest joy is coming home from work knowing when I open that door he's sitting there wagging that little nubby tail 90 miles an hour and gives me the cutest howl you ever heard. He wants to play and he wants to play now! I can't even make it to the kitchen counter to put my stuff down because he's tugging at my shoe laces or the bottom of my pants until I reach down and pick him up for some kisses. Then it's off to the den for 20 minutes of playing catch, or tug a war with his rope or what ever else he wants to play with. I think you should be commended on your breeding practices and I'm nominating you as breeder of the year. No, best breeder of all time. I was amazed how well adjusted he was when I picked him up at the airport. He was as cool as a cucumber when I looked into the crate. When I took him out of the crate he was very calm, not shaking, it's like he's known me forever. Everyone that has seen him or held him can't believe how well behaved Zeke is and they always ask us where did you get this puppy? Of course we give them your website and tell them what a wonderful person you are and be prepared to talk if you call her. Ha! Ha! I can go on and on about you and your wonderful dogs but seriously I want to Thank You for making my wife feel better about herself. We love our little Zeke'ster and we thank God for finding you!

God Bless You and Tim,

Bob & Brenda Boltz

PS. I'll be sending you some pictures of Zeke periodically.

Hi Marilyn and Tim,

We miss you guys!

I wanted to email you to give you an update on our little Zoey.  She is 7 months today.  Pat and I told her happy birthday and she just tilted her head at us like we were crazy.  She is soo adorable and perfect.  I ask her if she has to go potty and she runs to the back door.  It is funny when there is snow on the ground, she forgets about going to potty for a while.  She is too busy jumping in the snow and throwing snow and sliding in the snow and racing in the snow.  She's just too cute.

She keeps a good eye on Pat's garage and lets him know if someone is pulling in and he needs to go up there.  She is starting to howl on command. (That is hysterical!)  We love her soo much!!!  She has Pat wrapped just like you said would happen.  He said to me "I think she loves me!"  She does so well in her crate.  Doesn't give us any problems.  When we have to go somewhere she lays down in there until we come back.  No crying or whining at all.  She has been sleeping in bed with us at night.  She lays right between our pillows.  I never thought I would see that day but it has arrived.  She's so cute, she wants to be where ever we are and snuggle if it isn't playtime, which, she will let you know which it is.

Christmas was fun.  Our tree had no ornaments on the bottom because she was trying to take the ornaments off as I was putting them on so, our tree was a little bare at the bottom.  She left all of the packages alone though, even hers.  She loved her new toys that she got and her new big fluffy bed.  She jumped right in the middle and laid down.  I got one that fits a dog up to 85lbs by mistake.  But I figure she can stretch out if she needs to.

I wanted to let you know too that I constantly get compliments on her!  First people compliment her coloring and how black her back is and the beautiful shade of silver her legs are then how cute her face is.  Can't forget the compliments on her ears and how cute they flop over at the top and then they say how calm she is.  She is not hyper in he slightest.  She loves to play but she is not hyper at all.  She doesn't chew on things that she isn't supposed to although I found things of ours in her bed and her sleeping on top of them.  She had one thing from each of us.  I think it is safe to say that she is at home with us and is loving her good life.

Thank you so much for her.  Your master match does wonders.  It really works as does the sending the t-shirts to you.  She didn't cry at all.   That is great not only for the family but it makes the puppies transition smoother and less scary.

Please give our name and number to anyone interested in a pup.  I will tell them what a great experience it was for us.

Thanks again and I will keep in tough.  Let us know when you breed Drake.  Wonder if Pat would go for two?  Ha Ha!!!

Dear Marilyn,
I apologize for being so late in getting you the promised photos! Our little girl is growing up fast--5 months old the 13th! She has adjusted to life here so well. Mallory, her big sis, is enjoying her more and more. They often have games of "chase me, I've got a stick" around the yard. Mallory is still much faster because of her long legs ( I don't think Sophie is ever going to catch up), but Sophie has learned to conserve energy and "cut her off at the pass". They wrestle together quite a bit, and then end up having long naps to energize. I have been walking them together also, but need to work more on the tandem leash idea. We try to stick to less busy roads where I can handle two leashes. Still, it's tricky business. Here are some of our favorite photos for you: Love,
The Beals

Hi Marilyn,
I want to thank you for an absolutely awesome puppy.  Cassie has been home for a week and is has just stolen everyone's heart.  She comes to her name, sits on command, does ALL her business outside, and walks on a leash without tugging.  She plays with toys whenever she is awake and sleeps in my shoes whenever she gets tired.
Attached two pictures of her taken during the week.  THe vet pronounced her healthy and "just adorable".  She loves people, but is truly my dog as is evident when she follows me all over the house.  She has stopped crying every time I disappear and has adjusted to yard and house so well.
Hope you are fine and that the new litter is developing well.  Also hope that Cassie's litter mates have been sold....and they are in new homes.  They were beautiful.  Take care.
Marge

Hi Marilyn,
Just wanted to let you know that Cassy is just a great dog.  Attached a couple of pictures.  She is now 5 months old and continues to learn new behaviors every day.  We are going to puppy kindergarten and she is the star!  After the first 10 minutes of socializing with all the other pups she gets down to business.  She has learned so quickly it amazes me.  The director suggested I do some agility work since she able to jump over a stick held higher than her head and has NO fear of going through a tunnel.  It just may be fun and she would love it.  She is able to "heel", "sit", "down", "stand", "wait" "stay" "give five", "shake", "roll over", and is working on sitting up and playing dead!  I spend so much time laughing at her, it is unbelievable.  She absolutely LOVES to play and does so ALL DAY.  Thanks again for this incredible dog.  I hope all is well with you and that you are able to continu e breeding the best schnauzers in the midwest.  Take care, Marge

Just an update -

We've named her Shaylee and her personality is really starting to bud.  The first 24 hours was all of us getting used to each other and now she's bonding well. She sleeps snuggled next to us at night and Steph bought a baby sling she rides in when Steph goes for her walks each day.  She has "seamlessly" integrated with our Shitzu and the two of them play well and nap together. She pounces on squeaker toys like a panther.  You did an excellent job at assessing her personality to our preferences.

Lee & Stephanie (Enticer June 07 litter female)

Shaylee is a girly girl!! 10 weeks and growing!

Dear Marilyn and Tim,    I am forwarding pictures of Sadie.  She is growing like a little weed.  She goes to the Vet next week for her final shots, but she is so sweet and lovable.  I took her to work with me for the day on Wednesday and no one got any work done.  She stole the show and became the self-appointed official greeter.  She greeted everyone as the arrived, but never barked at anyone and thought everyone was her best buddy. She loves to be outside and run throught the back yard just as fast as those little legs will take her. We couldn’t be happier that she is here.  Miss you guys.  If you ever want a free stay in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania and a home cooked meal, let us know.  Mary Ann and John       P. I would like you to include this in your gone home area.
I have to thank you for Gunther he is the most remarkable dog there could be.
We have had not one problem with him. When you get a 10 month old dog one
would expect some problems but there have been none. He has joined our family
and makes our home complete. We have had schnauzers for many years and have
also bred them. I have to say that your program and efforts in breeding
schnauzers is a great success and as one who loves the breed I thank you.
Gunther is an all around kid, he likes to play and also likes to cuddle. He is
always doing things to make us smile. In just two short months Gunther has
become our baby. No-one could ask for a better, more loving and complete
companion as Gunther is. Again both my wife and I thank you for Gunther. We
will always be his people. Keep up the great work you are doing.

You should get a smile out of this. Tonight I went out to pick up supper and while I was out Joann started to vaccum the living room. Gunther as usual had toys spread out on the floor and everytime the vaccum would get close to a toy he would grab it and take it down stairs. He did this untill he had rescued all his toys from the mean old vaccum. Joann could hardly complete the job because she was laughing so hard. Any wonder why we love him so much?

Marilyn......Wow!!  Can you believe it......our baby will be 5 months old on Friday!!  I loved seeing the pictures of Maggie's brothers Lance and Knight.......what beautiful boys they are!!  I can't even begin to tell you how much we are enjoying watching Maggie grow from a tiny puppy to "our sweet girl"!  She is a giggle a minute and is really turning into my little "cuddle pup"!!  When I wake up in the morning, she's nuzzling my face (yes, she sleeps with us now!) and in the evening, she and Cali like to wrestle around  (Maggie turned that old girl into a puppy again!) and in between, she's playing, playing, playing!!  I never had a pup that likes to squeak, squeak, squeak the toys quite like she does!!!  And she's still trying to get that puppy that lives in Cali's water dish.........more giggles!!  Maggie is one happy, healthy, and busy little girl..........and we just adore her!  (from the tip of her little tail to her perfect little ears and the cowlick on her nose!!)

When you said that Dragonward puppies were well trained, I never thought you meant helping load the dishwasher, put clothes into the dryer, dust, and sweep the floor (that dust mop is soooooooo much fun!!)  WeI get "help" with everything!!   She will be making her first "big car ride" to Grandma's in Pennsylvania this week and I'm sure will have a ball with my two teenage nieces who are planning on spoiling her rotten. Russ keeps saying that he never imagined how much he would enjoy a schnauzer puppy ( I tried to tell him!!)

I am so grateful to have found your website...........thank you so much for all you do to bring these wonderful Dragonward puppies into the world.  I can't imagine my life without a special schnauzer in it...........the first morning that I woke up and felt her warm little body snuggled next to me, I had to smile.  I knew that my Libby was looking down from the back of her couch in puppy heaven and wagging her little stump because she knew that Mommy was happy again.

Thank you Marilyn for taking the time to educate us in the best choice possible for the right puppy.  Halle Blackberry has already stolen our hearts and she's made herself right at home in the eight days that we've had her.  She now weighs 4 lbs and eats like a little pig.  She is so sweet, yet very feisty and quite confident.  She's very smart and doesn't forget anything!  I turned the faucet on outside to water flowers and she got a drink there, and the next day she immediately ran to the faucet and tried to turn the handle with her mouth - it was hilarious.  Potty training is going great and she doesn't whine at night.  Everyone that sees her just falls in love.  She sleeps with her bear you gave her every night. They all had to hold her at the vet office today.  We are so happy and Ron is himself again :)

Here is MS BLUE!! and her two kids! The smile on ALL of their faces tells it's OWN story! No words needed!

Meet Thoren's Thunder Blue Wildcat!

Hi guys hope all is well with you Marilyn and Tim, and dogs. Just thought I would give you a quick update on our Big Blue Baby Boy. What we have all known ever since we were children, we have been taught you see lightning, but you hear Thunder. I can tell you that is so true.  Thoren's Thunder Blue Wildcat certainly lives up to that saying. This guy chatters all of the time, you have never heard such sounds, we are getting pretty good with understanding most of his special talk. rra rra rrrrrra, means I need you to look at me, ra, means time to go out, I think at the end of week 2 we will have more words in our vocabulary. He is really cool, we have a life size statue of a miniature schnauzer in our bedroom, about five times a day Blue goes right up to his face and gives him a real talkin to, Blue lets him know in no uncertain terms who is in charge in this house now. It is a hoot to see. In the last week he loves to play with his crate, and crate door, while he is outside the crate he likes to open and close the door several times a day. He will be walking by the crate and push the door closed with his nose, several minutes later he will walk back over and slap at the door with his foot till it comes open, I told you this little guy is real smart. He is also doing great at night time, we put him in his crate just before we go to bed, he will sleep all night until 4:30 am and we hear a little very quiet, rrrrrraarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, that means get your but out of that bed I need to pee, when we come back in he will go back to sleep till 7:30 am when we hear the same little muffeled rrrrrraarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, that one means Blue is ready to eat a big breakfast. What a life!!! See ya Ray

Marilyn and Tim, here are some pics with the girls and Jack when we came home after Dragonward.  He has done excellent and is very much a part of the family.  The baby, Brynn, and Jack have gotten along very well the past week and Brynn truly has become gentle and watchful towards Jack.  Kenna, our middle girl, likes to walk Jack and hold the leash like she is in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive, it is truly funny.  Jack actually eats it up and walks with a kind of priss himself…J  Jessa is not over joyed with “scooping” after Jack, but we have not had to ask her lately to help, she just does it.  As for Myra and I, we love him and think that he was exactly what our family needed…to tell you the truth for her it is another “baby”, and for me it is a companion and partner in a sea of estrogen…J

Talk to you later,

The DeLuca’s

BTW Tim, the next pics will be just for you…LOL!!!!!!

Marilyn,
Good evening!  How are all your pups?  Cali is doing wonderfully!  She seems to be really happy!!  It is truly amazing how intelligent she is!  We haven't even had any bathroom accidents today!!  I won't say, "Can you believe it?" because I know you DO!  She is so lovey toward everyone she meets!   Thank you so much for allowing this bundle of joy to be a part of our family!   We can't thank you enough!  Right now, she's chewing on her favorite toy - a stuffed elephant!  We're actually going to try to get her into the vet tomorrow.   All the workers are looking forward to meeting her!!  I'm sure she'll be a hit!  On another note . . . Can you tell me again what meds I need to buy at the store and what to use them for?  Brad jotted down some notes but I can't make complete sense of them!  Typical guy, huh?  Well, I've also attached some pics for you!  We have already taken close to 50 pics of her on our digital camera!   (Just a wee-bit spoiled!!)  :-)  I will keep you posted and I hope to hear from you soon!  Take care!

Hello,
Gracie is 4 months old today! I can't imagine my life without her in it. We went to observe the puppy kindergarden class this past Tuesday and we had a ball. She is so adaptable and sweet and fun.I had to go back to work this past Tuesday and I hated leaving her but my girlfriend's husband came over while I was gone. She's adjusting well but I definitely prefer being at home so time will tell how much longer I will be working full time. I celebrated my 30 years at the hospital this past Thursday and they gave me a wonderful surprise party.I'm off work tomorrow so Gracie and I will go to Lowe's and Petsmart..I got nice gift cards for both places..so will find Gracie a nice 4 month birthday present! I took pictures with my digital camera but am having problems downloading..as soon as I figure why I'll send some pictures. While I was off the lab celebrated lab week and each department was raffling off gift baskets. My girlfriend won the dog lovers basket and she called me up and asked to speak with Gracie...came over and gave it to her. Gracie had a ball opening up all the fun gifts.I know you've had many special puppies over the years...but I can't imagine you having anyone as special as my sweet Gracie. She has all the wonderful qualities wrapped up in one cute furball package! gracie and I are off for a stroll..just wanted to update you on my little Princess!

I just want you to know how great Cosmo is (I guess you already knew that).  He is great.  He is getting used to the kennel and sleeps through the night w/o accident.  The part I cannot get over is how much of a love bug he is.  He is not happy unless one of us is touching him.  He likes to sleep on Christine's feet.  He is great with the kids!!
Thanks again,

Brian
